Blog tour: Dungeons & Dragons and fiction writing

Today the blog tour takes me over the DNDKids: the online spot for Uri Kurlianchik. Not only is Uri a fiction and gaming writer, but he for his day job he also gets to teach kids how to play Dungeons and Dragons. Now is that a cool job or what? Uri and I met online as members of the Monumental Works Group.

So without further ado, here is a little bit of my history involving role-playing games and fiction writing.

Following the blog tour Ty, lots of work to get all these posts out, best of luck with the new novel coming out. Haven't forgotten about you on the 16'th.

I never got that much into RPG's although I had a lot of friends that did and I played an occasional game, usually Sci-Fi related and not traditionally D&D, but I remember all the funky dice.

I imagine there something special about coming together with a group of like minded folks vs. logging on in your PJ's alone. I think that's why Warhammer is still so popular.

Oh and BTW, still have my Golf clubs and paintball gear in my basement, my wife gets the "cold, dead, finger thing." when she asks about getting rid of them.

Ha! Thanks for dropping by, David.

Actually, I don't miss my golf stuff, and only rarely miss the paintball gear. My health isn't what it used to be, so maybe if my heart was in better shape I might miss that stuff more.

Sorry to hear that Ty, can only imagine what it's like to live with something like that. Other than being on the table for twice for some relatively minor tune-ups I've been fortunate health wise.

Have to start making changes tho, both my dad and older brother have Type I so that puts me next on the firing range.

Best wishes
