Notes: Paradise Lost being one of my favorite books, I have to admit I know little of its author, so that's why I'm reading this book from the late 19th Century.
Mini review: Once one becomes more familiar with the 19th Century writing style, this actually is a pretty good book. I definitely learned much of Milton I had not known before, especially how much he was involved with the politics of his own time. Historians may very well want to read this.
