Pours a deep amber-caramel color into a clear glass, all while giving off a dark, salty chocolate smell. That caramel flavor is strong in the taste, but not so strong as to be annoying, and its accompanied by hints of fruit and nuts, perhaps even a little toast.
This one is smooth and has a slight bitterness. It's not overly strong, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, depending upon one's mood or the type of beer one prefers.
Would I drink it again? Sure. Would it become a regular favorite? Probably not, but I wouldn't turn one down if handed to me.
